In an update that’s sure to disappoint subscribers, Microsoft has announced that five beloved titles will be leaving Xbox Game Pass by the end of this month. Among them are some surprise departures, including *Slay the Spire* and *Spiritfarer*, two fan-favorites that have remained mainstays of the service for years. The removals are part of Game Pass’s regular content rotation cycle, but that doesn’t soften the blow for subscribers who haven’t yet completed — or even started — these standout games.
The full list of departing titles includes *Slay the Spire*, *Spiritfarer*, *Bugsnax*, *Unto The End*, and *Signalis*. Fans of indie hits and narrative-rich experiences will feel the loss especially hard, as each game offered a unique story, gameplay mechanic, or design philosophy that stood out in an ever-growing Game Pass library.
*Slay the Spire*, the roguelike deck-builder that redefined its genre, has enjoyed a devoted following since its release. Similarly, *Spiritfarer*, a heartfelt management sim about death and letting go, captivated players with its emotional depth and gorgeous hand-drawn art style. *Bugsnax*, adored for its quirky charm and viral theme song, had a brief second wind when it joined Game Pass last year. *Signalis*, a survival horror gem inspired by classic PlayStation-era design, and *Unto The End*, a minimalist combat-driven platformer, round out the list of games leaving the service on June 30.
Subscribers have until the end of the month to play or purchase these games at a discount before they’re removed from access. Those who fall in love during that time can buy them at up to 20% off, as is standard when games exit the service.
Although Xbox Game Pass continues to add new games monthly — with several big-name titles queued up for July — the rotating nature of the catalog means that not every gem sticks around forever. For players eyeing these games in their backlog, now’s the time to dive in before they’re gone.
