Microsoft is doubling down on its strategy to make Xbox Game Pass the ultimate gaming subscription this summer. Announced today via Xbox Wire, July’s wave of updates includes a flurry of new Ubisoft titles joining the service, a robust selection of day-one indie debuts, and major enhancements to Xbox Cloud Gaming performance and availability.

Ubisoft is bringing several of its flagship titles to Xbox Game Pass, including *Assassin’s Creed Origins*, *Far Cry 6*, and *The Crew 2*. These additions are part of the ongoing partnership between the two companies and represent an effort to further enrich the Game Pass library with blockbuster third-party content. Players with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate will be able to dive into these expansive open-world adventures starting mid-July.

Equally exciting is the slate of new indie games arriving as day-one launches. Among the most anticipated are *Tales of the Hollow*, a story-driven RPG with a haunting narrative twist, and *Grime: Verdant Edition*, an enhanced version of the acclaimed action-platformer with new biome content. These titles underscore Microsoft’s continued commitment to highlighting innovative voices in the indie development scene.

On the technical front, Xbox Cloud Gaming is getting a substantial upgrade. Microsoft has confirmed that more servers have been upgraded to Xbox Series X hardware, promising smoother framerates and reduced load times for streaming titles across mobile, browser, and smart TV platforms. Additionally, the service is expanding to more countries in Southeast Asia and South America, a move that will enable millions of new players to access Game Pass titles without the need for high-end consoles.

“Game Pass is more than just a subscription—it’s our commitment to global accessibility and diverse content,” said Kareem Choudhry, CVP of Gaming Cloud at Microsoft.

With fresh AAA content, bold new indie experiments, and improved accessibility through the cloud, July is shaping up to be a landmark month for Xbox Game Pass. As Microsoft continues to position the service as a keystone of its gaming strategy, competitors will be keeping a close eye on how players respond.
