Square Enix has officially unveiled “The Rising Tide,” the much-anticipated second DLC expansion for Final Fantasy XVI, and fans won’t have to wait long to dive in. The DLC introduces an entirely new region to explore, full of secrets tied to Leviathan, the long-missing Eikon of Water whose absence was noted by sharp-eyed players in the base game’s Eikon roster.

Square Enix has confirmed that players will gain new Eikonic abilities inspired by Leviathan’s aquatic dominion, allowing for a distinct combat style that emphasizes movement, fluidity, and relentless pressure. These abilities can be swapped in and out of Clive’s existing arsenal, giving seasoned players more room for creative expression in battle.
